Q. Who has to attend the Driver’s Training Seminar (DTS) in addition to driver’s education classes?
A. All Hancock County drivers’ education students must attend with a parent. There is no additional cost involved.

Q. When can a student pick up a permit packet?
A. The student may pick up a Permit Packet at 15 years and six months of age.

Q. Is the driving 1-on-1?
A. Yes

Q. Where can I take my permit test?
A. A student can take the Permit Test at the license bureau in Findlay, Tiffin, or Bowling Green. A student may pick up a permit packet in Fostoria but the Fostoria License Bureau does not offer the test

Q. When does the six (6) month date start in order to be eligible for my Driver’s Test?
A. The six month date starts the day you pick up the Permit Packet, not the date you take your permit test.

Q. For how long is my permit valid?
A. The permit is only good for one year.

Q. What do I do if my permit expires before I get my license?
A. Go to the license bureau and get a new permit; make sure they put the old issue date on the new permit. This ensures that you don’t have to start your six months all over again.

Q. Does my eight (8) hours of driving with my licensed instructor count towards my fifty hours of driving with my parents?
A. No, those eight hours are in addition to the fifty hours; your total amount of hours driven should be 58.

Q. What do I have to take with me to my driving test?
A. You should have all five of these things:
1. white permit paper
2. i.d. card
3. signed and notarized 50-hour affidavit
4. certificate of completion from Cruisin'2 Driving School
5. legal guardian
6. money
7. parent's s.s. card
