Rules & Regulations

Guidelines for acquiring Driving Permit and license:

• At 15 years and 5 months of age, the student is allowed to start drivers’ education classes.

• 15 years and 6 months is when a student is allowed to take and pass the permit test and start driving with their mother, father, or licensed drivers ed instructor.

• At sixteen years of age and still driving with a permit, the student's licensed driver has to be 21 or older.

• In order to be eligible for the Driver’s Test, these criteria must be met:

1. Six (6) Months from the day that you pass the permit test and recieve your permit.
2. The student must have driven fifty hours with a parent; 10 of these hours must be in the dark.
3. The student must have participated in 24-hours of driver's education classes.
4. The student must also have completed the 8 hours of driving with a licensed instructor.
